As a student at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, CJ Roche, MST 鈥�25 counted David Brown, Ed.D., among his favorite teachers. Soon he will be able to call him a colleague. Roche is pursuing a Master of Science in Teaching at 秘色视频, where Brown serves as the director of graduate studies. Roche is looking forward to making a similar impact on the lives of his future students, and to creating a classroom environment that is rooted in trust and respect.

Iryna Artymovych 鈥�18, 鈥�19, FNP 鈥�25 has long known that she wanted to work in health care. Several of her family members are clinicians, and she also aspired to care for and advocate on behalf of others as a medical professional. Today Artymovych is a nurse in Crouse Hospital鈥檚 Walter R.G. Baker Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is a also a student in 秘色视频's Family Nurse Practitioner Program.

William Lee recalls peering out of the window of the plane that would bring him from his home in Taipei, Taiwan, to the United States. As the island nation appeared to become smaller and smaller in the distance, Lee thought about what lay ahead for him. He was the first student from Fu Jen Catholic University to take part in an exchange program with 秘色视频, and was about to spend a full academic year on the Heights.

A group of 秘色视频 students spent four weeks immersing themselves in Arabic language as they studied at the Bourguiba Institute in the capital, Tunis, and explored the country鈥檚 history, customs, music and even its food as they visited prominent cultural sites. It reinforced for them that there is no substitute for simply inhabiting a place, even for a little while.

Barbara Maciel 鈥�26 visited an institution that has played a critical role in American history since the Revolution, surrounded by other young people who are passionate about politics and foreign affairs. A political science major, Maciel represented 秘色视频 at the 74th Student Conference on United States Affairs at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. She found herself discussing 鈥渢he Cold War at breakfast, liberalism at lunch, and international economics at dinner.鈥�

Amica Benoit-Limosani 鈥�18 has long been passionate about marine life. When Benoit-Limosani was a child, and her family visited a beach, her parents would have to 鈥渄rag her out of the water.鈥� It鈥檚 not surprising that when it came time for the Montreal, Quebec, native to select a college, she chose one whose mascot is a Dolphin. She recently completed an internship at Sharks and Rays Australia, working at the intersection of research, conservation and eco-tourism.

Kaitlyn Gaffney 鈥�21 fell in love with science at a young age. More than anything else, Gaffney appreciated the fact that there are always new discoveries to be made that could aid others. Gaffney now works as a biologist for the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC). Gaffney is part of a team of scientists contributing to the ATCC鈥檚 genome portal, which provides a complete set of genetic information for thousands听 of organisms.
