How to Apply as an International Student: Transfer Applicants

 

All students who are not citizens of the United States or permanent residents (possess a PRA number) are considered to be international students and should follow the steps below.

Application Deadlines
International transfer students must submit their completed Transfer Application by Aug. 1 for fall admission or Dec. 1 for spring admission consideration.

  • All international students who require a visa to be issued for them to attend ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ must submit their  (PDF) to ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ. If the Certificate of Finance is not received with the application packet, the application will be deemed incomplete and the application will not be processed.
  • International students for whom English is not a first language, and whose educational instruction was not in English, are required to submit results of an English proficiency exam. We will consider scores from TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo. Applicants are expected to achieve a score of 550 or higher on the paper version, 213 on the computer version, or 79 or higher on the Internet version of the TOEFL; an IELTS score of at least 6.5; or a score of 110 or higher on the Duolingo test. A score of 600 on the verbal portion of the SAT or its equivalent exempts applicants from the test of English proficiency requirement. 
  • For international transcripts, applicants will need to request a course-by-course evaluation/report be completed for all university/college transcripts by an approved credential evaluation service. A list of accepted services is available on the . We require that applicants use a current NACES member service. Any application with a transcript that is not submitted to ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ via an approved evaluation service will be considered incomplete. 
  • An official high school transcript (if fewer than 24 credits completed at the time of application). ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ will evaluate the transcript. 
  • Bachelor of Science in nursing applicants must also submit proof of RN licensure.
