Welcome to the Engineering Degree Partnership

Students interested in pursuing careers in engineering at Le Moyne join our Bachelor's + Master's dual-degree partnership with the  at Syracuse University. Concentrations in chemical, computer, civil, environmental, electrical, mechanical, aerospace, and biological engineering are available.

Students participating in the engineering degree partnership complete their four-year bachelor's degree — in physics, computer science, chemistry, or biology, as appropriate — at Le Moyne, while taking engineering courses at Syracuse University at no additional cost. Students who complete these pre-engineering concentrations in good standing (including maintaining a 3.0 GPA, both overall and in their science and engineering courses) are pre-admitted to the appropriate master's degree program at Syracuse University and receive a 50% tuition waiver, typically completing their master's degree in an additional three semesters. Students in this innovative partnership earn both a bachelor's degree from Le Moyne and a master's degree in engineering from Syracuse University in just one semester more than it takes students in traditional 3+2 engineering programs to earn two bachelor's degrees.

Le Moyne also has staff dedicated to placing interested engineering students in internships.  The Syracuse area enjoys a high density of high-tech employers, creating many opportunities for exciting engineering internships.  In fact, many ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ students are now employed by the companies they interned with as undergraduates!

With a strong liberal-arts background, a ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ educated pre-engineering student graduates with writing and communication skills as strong as their engineering preparation.

Get Involved on Campus

The Engineering Club
The Engineering Club is designed to bring students together who have an interest in the Engineering field. We strive to promote interest in Engineering, build student relationships, and make ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ’s growing Engineering program more visible to the outside world. As a club we take part in multiple service events, tours of local engineering companies, and co-sponsor with the Physics Club a club trip each year to major science and engineering-related attractions.

The Maker Zone
The ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ Maker Zone is a student run STEAM community that focuses on emerging tech, leadership, & entrepreneurship geared towards creating more well-rounded & experienced graduates. They work together to learn, go on trips, and make cool stuff!

Check them out on social media:

Engineering Program Faculty
Courses in programs with pre-engineering concentrations are taught by faculty in the appropriate disciplines.
