    Finally Finding the Perfect Fit

The path that led McKenzie Doig to ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ was anything but typical.

A native of Chittenango, N.Y., she started at Ithaca College before switching to Binghamton University for second-semester freshman year. Having just missed the deadline at ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ, she took a few general education classes at Onondaga Community College before finally landing at ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ in fall 2013.

She knew right away she had made the right decision. “Honestly, the campus has a small intimate feel compared to large colleges,” said Doig. “I loved that I would have the ability to be known by people - my professors, other students - and really make a difference at ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ.”

Since graduating in 2016 with a B.S. in psychology with minors of human resources, marketing and business administration, she went on to get her MBA from Louisiana State University and currently works for General Motors as a human resources business partner.

Her message to other students considering transferring to the College? “ÃØÉ«ÊÓƵ will make you feel like you’re home, don't miss that opportunity. You will always be welcomed here with open arms.”
